Today is May 4, 2008, and we are approximately 12 weeks away from our departure date.  We find ourselves getting more and more excited as time goes by.  Who would have known that a year ago when we set a goal for ourselves to go on a missions trip in 2008 that the Lord would actually honor that by blessing us with this opportunity.

We have been in prayer and searching God's Word for his promises for missionaries and those who go to spread the good news.  We have been praying for the harvest fields to be ripe and for our efforts to be fruitful.  We have been praying for our interpreters and hosts as well as everyone who will cross our paths on the trip.

Finally, we have been praying for our fellow team members.  We have been praying for their health, for the Lord to provide for their physical and financial needs for this journey, and we have been praying for Jerry, our team leader.

We thank God for the opportunity to serve in this capacity.
